Niseko Town is blessed with abundant water resources such as Mt. Yotei and the Niseko Mountains, and the water supply rate is about 84%. Water is supplied by five simple water supply facilities and four drinking water supply facilities. Unexpanded areas use shallow wells and water, and it is necessary to eliminate these areas where water supply is not widely used.
Regarding domestic wastewater treatment, urban districts are being developed by public sewerage projects, and some village districts by agricultural settlement drainage improvement projects. Regions excluding these districts are undergoing improvement of merger treatment septic tanks.
Also, in order to preserve the water quality of public waters, it is required to expand the sewer subscribers and merger treatment septic tank installers.

Regarding garbage disposal, we are striving to reduce waste and promote recycling in order to reduce the emission of dioxins and to build a resource recycling society.
However, in order to cope with the increased waste disposal expenses, it is necessary to reduce the cost through wide-area processing.

Niseko Town is a beautiful town rich in nature with large and small rivers and forests, such as Mt. Yotei, Niseko Mountains, and Shiribetsu River.
These natural environments are the treasure of the town, and the interest of the townspeople to health, culture and educational use such as the formation of a good living environment and the interaction with nature are increasing.
Therefore, sustainable preservation of the natural environment for the future is required.

We will change the lifestyle and values ​​of mass consumption and mass disposal, aim to construct resource circulation type community by waste reduction and resource recycling.

We will formulate a plan to conserve the local environment where the residents, business operators and the administration together, and proceed with environmentally friendly initiatives.

In promoting garbage disposal, stable supply of household water, proper treatment of household wastewater, repairing of ocean and flood control, we will promote while considering the balance between human life and the environment.
