Niseko Town Coordinators for International Relations (CIR)
What is a CIR?
Coordinators for International Relations (CIRs), work with local governments and areas with the intent of supporting internationalisation efforts. At present there are four CIRs hailing from four countries, Malaysia, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
Our CIRs deal with language matters such as translation and interpretation as well as language classes, supporting the foreign population, planning intercultural events, and visting local schools. Their overarching aim is to help strengthen the links between the Japanese and Foreign residents of the town.
