Niseko Town Architectural Guidelines

Niseko Town is a hilly area surrounded by Mt. Yotei to the east, Niseko Annupuri to the north, and Mt. Konbu to the south, with numerous streams flowing into it, including the clear Shiribetsu River. In order to maintain this rich natural environment, living environment, rural landscape, and other valuable regional resources into the future, various ordinances have been established based on the "Niseko Town Basic Ordinance for Town Development" which is the constitution for town development, including the Basic Environmental Ordinance, Landscape Ordinance, Groundwater Conservation Ordinance, and Ordinance for the Proper Promotion of Renewable Energy Businesses.

These guidelines compile the town's urban development policies and various points to consider when planning and designing all homes and buildings constructed in the town, regardless of their size or purpose.
When planning, designing, constructing, and maintaining a building or development project, please refer to these guidelines and take into full consideration the matters and ideas required by various ordinances, plans, etc.

◎ The "Niseko Town Basic Ordinance for Town Development" positions the two pillars of "information sharing" and "resident participation" as important principles, and is based on the idea of practicing and nurturing self-governance.
