Niseko Town 9th Elderly Welfare Plan
In this town, as the Shiribeshi Regional Union has been operating the nursing care insurance business since the 4th Nursing Care Insurance Business Plan (2009-2011), the 5th Niseko Town Elderly Health and Welfare Plan (2012-2014) has been separated from the nursing care insurance business plan prepared by the Shiribeshi Regional Union and has been prepared as a town-only plan.
The Long-Term Care Insurance Business Plan aims to build a regional comprehensive care system, and provides in-home care (prevention) services so that independent living in the community can be carried out for people in need of long-term care and those who may be in need of nursing care The purpose of this plan is to take measures to support health related to elderly people, prevention of long-term care, lifestyle support and others.
The "Act on the Adjustment of Related Laws to Promote Comprehensive Assurance of Medical Care and Nursing Care in Local Communities," which was promulgated in June 2014, amended the Long-Term Care Insurance Act to enhance local support projects that take measures such as nursing care prevention and dementia countermeasures for the entire elderly population, as well as the establishment of lifestyle support systems, with the aim of establishing a community-based comprehensive care system by 2025.
Based on this amendment, there is a greater demand than ever before for the development of community support projects based on local autonomy and initiative, and our town has been commissioned by the Shiribeshi Regional Association to implement community support projects (including comprehensive care prevention and daily life support projects) within a new framework.
Taking these circumstances into consideration, this plan has been formulated to include specific policy measures for regional support projects.
In addition, the progress of the policies and projects set out in this plan will be inspected and evaluated once a year, and reports will be made at the Niseko Town Welfare Committee and Child Welfare Committee meeting, and opinions will be heard.
