Niseko Town where the population is increasing and the number of households is increasing in recent years. Public rented houses were the recipient of the influx of population due to the shortage of private rented houses, but since FY2004, full improvement and individual improvement by effectively utilizing the existing stock based on the public housing stock comprehensive utilization plan and the public housing extension plan Securing the "quantity" and improving the "quality" of the overall living life, including the living environment, by reorganizing the stock into high-quality stock mainly for improvement and working on private housing measures based on the comprehensive plan and the basic living life plan. However, as the town's population and number of households are expected to continue to increase in the future, and housing mismatches in public housing are an issue, in order to fulfill the role of public housing in the Basic Plan for Housing and Life and to indicate a new direction for overcoming issues in the development and management of public housing, etc., it has become necessary to consider the number of public housing units, as well as to consider improvement plans for public housing stock in light of the current financial situation and deterioration status, and as such, the Public Housing Longevity Plan was revised in 2019.
The planning period of this plan is 10 years from 2020 (2020) to Reiwa 11 (2029).
