Niseko Town Coordinators for International Relations (CIR)

What is a CIR?

Coordinators for International Relations (CIRs), work with local governments and areas with the intent of supporting internationalisation efforts. At present there are five CIRs hailing from five countries, China, Germany, Malaysia, the United States and Canada.
Our CIRs deal with language matters such as translation and interpretation as well as language classes, support the foriegn population, plan intercultural events, and vist local schools. Their overarching aim is to help strengthen the links between the Japanese and Foreign residents of the town.
