Niseko Town 9th Elderly Welfare Plan

In this town, as the Shiribeshi Regional Union has been running nursing-care insurance business since the 4th nursing-care insurance Business Plan (2009-2011), from the 5th Niseko Town Elderly Health and Welfare Plan (2012-2014), nursing-care insurance business plan created by the Shiribeshi Regional Union has been separated and created as a town-only plan.
The Long-nursing-care insurance Business Plan aims to build a community-based comprehensive care system by providing home care (preventive) services to people who require care or who are at risk of requiring care, so that they can live independently in their communities. Meanwhile, this plan aims to implement support measures related to health promotion, care prevention, and lifestyle support for the elderly as a whole.
The "Act on the Improvement of Related Laws to Promote Comprehensive Assurance of Medical Care and Nursing Care in Local Communities," which was promulgated in June 2014, amended the Long-Term nursing-care insurance Act and enhanced local support programs, including nursing care prevention and dementia countermeasures for the elderly as a whole, as well as the establishment of a lifestyle support system, with the aim of establishing a community-based comprehensive care system by 2025.
Based on this amendment, there is a greater demand than ever before for the development of community support projects based on local autonomy and initiative, and our town has been commissioned by the Shiribeshi Regional Association to implement community support projects (including comprehensive care prevention and daily life support projects) within a new framework.
Taking these circumstances into consideration, this plan has been formulated to include specific policy measures for regional support projects.
In addition, the progress of the policies and projects set out in this plan will be inspected and evaluated once a year, and reports will be made at the Niseko Town Welfare Committee and Child Welfare Committee meeting, and opinions will be heard.
