Social Capital Development The Comprehensive Grant Project (Former Machizukuri Grant Project) is a system that was newly created from FY 2004 to promote unique town development and the revival of cities throughout the country. The project will be conducted based on the "Urban Renovation and Improvement Plan" prepared by municipalities.

Niseko Town, a social capital improvement comprehensive grant project was conducted for a period of five years from 2011 to 2015.

Urban regeneration improvement plan

The urban revitalization development plan describes the goals of town planning that has been set based on the characteristics of the area (eg, revitalization of busy areas around the station) and various projects that realize the goal.

About the evaluation result (final) of the grant

Objectively evaluate to what extent the goal set in urban renewal development plan has been achieved. We will organize sustainable town planning by arranging the causes of achievement of goal achievement and examining improvement measures and future town planning measures.

We have carried out ex-post evaluation as follows

The ex-post evaluation is supposed to be conducted in the final year of the issue of town development grants.
  1. Formulation of urban renewal development plan
  2. Implementation of project
  3. Data collection and survey of numerical targets described in urban renewal development plan (as needed)
  4. Publication of the ex-post evaluation draft to residents · collection of opinions (December 22, Heisei 20 - January 12, Heisei 28)
  5. Deliberation of the town development grant evaluation committee (February 16, Heisei 28)
  6. Submission of evaluation results to the country (February 19, 2008)
  7. Publication of evaluation results (final) for residents (March, Heisei 20) (Note 1)
  8. Implementation of follow-up (after April, 28th), confirmation
