FY 2013

[First Session] Aquatic Insect Observation Event to be held on Wednesday, July 31st

This time, the committee, guided by members of the FF River Observation Group, observed insects and fish in the Rubeshibe River. As a result, we were able to confirm that many creatures, such as mayflies and loaches, inhabit the river.
After the observation session, we enjoyed nature while having a steak barbecue by the river.
Please see the following documents for details about the result of the event.

[2nd Session] Footpath Walking Tour, held on September 29th (Sunday)

Under the guidance of Mr. Tatsuto Kudo, who lives in the town, the committee took a walk along the Kashumbetsu River from Arishima Takeo Memorial Museum and observed the plants. After that, we moved to Soga Forest Park and observed many trees.
After our lunch break, we checked the route we walked today on a paper map. We pasted the photos we took today onto the map and wrote down the names of the plants and animals we encountered.
Please see the following documents for details about the result of the event.

[3rd Event] March 8th (Sat) Snowshoeing and Environmental Workshop

This time, the committee members took a snowshoeing walk through Soga Forest Park, guided by Mr. Tatsuto Kudo, a resident of the town. During the walk, they discovered holes made by birds in trees and mushrooms, confirming that creatures inhabit the area even in winter.
After the break, based on what I learned about the natural environment of Niseko Town this year, I divided into two groups and discussed what we can do to protect the environment in Niseko Town.
Please see the following documents for details about the result of the event.
