Temporary Childcare Support Program

This program provides short-term childcare services  for families who are temporarily unable to care for their children at home due to illness, accident, business trips, childbirth, or other unavoidable circumstances. In such cases, children can be looked after at a child welfare facility.

Short stay

〇 You can use this service for emergencies such as short-term hospitalization, childbirth, wedding or funerals, and business trips.
　
Usage period: up to 7 days in principle
 

Twilight stay

〇 You can use this service when you must work late at night or be away from home on weekends or holidays.

Usage hours:
Weekdays (Monday to Saturday) from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Holidays (Sundays and public holidays) from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm
　

・Please note that use may not be possible if the facility is full or due to other circumstances.

How to apply

To use the Temporary Childcare Support Program, please submit the Application for Temporary Childcare Support (or Extension) form. For more details, please visit the Children’s Future Division counter. If visiting in person is difficult, you contact by phone or email.
