2023 start vaccination

The town will start the "2023 Spring Vaccination" (bivalent vaccination for Omicron variant) from June 1, 2023 (2023).
Eligible people can only receive the vaccination once.

Target

▷ Those who have completed the first vaccination (1st and 2nd doses) in Japan or those who have completed the equivalent vaccination (*1).
●It does not matter whether you have received a booster vaccination (the third and subsequent vaccinations, including the one that started in the autumn 2022).

▷ Those who fall under any of the following (1) to (3).
(1) Those aged 65 and over

(2) Persons aged 5 to 64 with underlying diseases
●Children (ages 5 to 11) with no underlying diseases can receive the "2022 fall start vaccination". A single inoculation is possible. For more information on eligible people, etc., please see "Information about vaccination for children aged 5 to 11 (pediatric vaccination)".
● Those who do not have any underlying disease will be able to receive additional vaccinations at 2023 September through December at "2023 Autumn Start Vaccination". Details on the vaccines to be inoculated, the specific timing and method of inoculation, etc. will be announced as soon as they are finalized.

(3) Medical workers, etc., and workers at facilities for the elderly, etc.
▷ A certain period of time has passed since the last vaccination.
If you want to inoculate the bivalent vaccine for Omicron strains of Pfizer and Moderna: 3 months or more
If you want to inoculate Takeda's (Novavacs) conventional vaccine (monovalent): 6 months or more
*For the spring 2023 vaccination, we basically recommend the bivalent vaccine for Omicron strains. ) can also be vaccinated. If you are unsure about vaccination, please consult your family doctor. However, Niseko Town does not plan to vaccinate Takeda (Novavacs).

(*1) The following people are those who received the first vaccination (1st and 2nd doses). However, this is limited to those who have been vaccinated with a vaccine (*2) approved by the pharmaceutical affairs for the corresponding dose in Japan.
(a) Those who have completed the first vaccination in the new corona vaccination project for Japanese living overseas
(b) Persons who have completed the first vaccination for U.S. Forces Japan employees
(c) Persons who have completed the first vaccination in a pharmaceutical manufacturer's clinical trial, etc.
(d) Those who have completed the first vaccination overseas
(Note) The number of initial vaccinations for Janssen Pharmaceutical vaccines is one. If you have received one vaccination overseas, it is considered that the first vaccination has been completed in Japan.
(*2) The foreign-made vaccines listed in the right column of the table below are handled as the same vaccines approved by the Japanese Pharmaceutical Affairs Law listed in the left column.

vaccination voucher

After May 15th, vaccination voucher will be sent to those aged 65 and over.
*Reservation method differs depending on age.
1) If you are over 70 years old, we will specify the reservation date.
2) Those aged 65-69 must make a reservation by themselves.

3) Those aged between 12 and 64 who have an underlying disease are required to apply for vaccination voucher.
* 3) If you are consulting a medical institution due to an underlying illness or have a medical institution that you can consult in advance, please consult the doctor of that medical institution.
