The town will start 2023 the "2023 spring vaccination" (bivalent vaccination against the Omicron strain) from June 1, 2023.

Eligible persons
▷ Those who have completed the first vaccination (1st and 2nd doses) in Japan or those who have completed the equivalent vaccination (*1).
●It does not matter whether you have received a booster vaccination (the third vaccination or later, including vaccinations starting in the fall 2022).
▷ Those who fall under any of the following (1) to (3).
(1) Those aged 65 and over
(2) Persons aged 5 to 64 with underlying diseases
The period during which children (aged 5-11) without underlying conditions can receive the "vaccination starting in 2022" has been extended, so those who have not yet received the Omicron strain bivalent vaccine can continue to receive one dose. For details on eligibility, etc., please see the "Notice regarding vaccinations for children aged 5-11 (pediatric vaccinations)."
●People without underlying health conditions will be able to receive a booster vaccination during the "Autumn 2023 Vaccinations" program, which will run from September to December 2023 Details regarding the vaccine to be administered, the specific timing and method of vaccination, etc. will be announced once they have been decided.
(3) Medical workers, etc., and workers at facilities for the elderly, etc.
▷ A certain period of time has passed since the last vaccination.

If you want to inoculate Takeda's (Novavacs) conventional vaccine (monovalent): 6 months or more
*For vaccinations starting in spring 2023, we generally recommend vaccination with the Omicron strain bivalent vaccine, but if for some reason you are unable to receive this vaccine, you can also receive the conventional monovalent vaccine, Takeda (Novavax). If you are unsure whether to receive the vaccine, please consult your doctor. However, Niseko Town does not plan to administer the Takeda (Novavax) vaccine.

(Note) The number of initial vaccinations for Janssen Pharmaceutical vaccines is one. If you have received one vaccination overseas, it is considered that the first vaccination has been completed in Japan.
(*2) The foreign-made vaccines listed in the right column of the table below are handled as the same vaccines approved by the Japanese Pharmaceutical Affairs Law listed in the left column.
