Self-introduction
Hello! My name is Chan Mai Chan.
I am from Alberta, Canada. My major is not Japanese language or culture, but business. I have studied business administration for a long time, conducted research, and gained experience in the business field. These experiences have given me a diverse perspective.
I have a strong interest in languages, and am particularly drawn to the Japanese language. I have a particular interest in kanji and honorific language, and I strive to deepen my understanding of these languages every day. I once received a scholarship from the Japanese government, and as a way of giving back, I would like to participate in the JET Programme and contribute to cultural exchange between Japan and Canada.

Where I'm From:
I'm from Edmonton, the capital of the Canadian province of Alberta. Alberta is known for its vast natural landscapes, harsh winters, and the beautiful Banff National Park nestled in the Rocky Mountains. In winter, the lakes freeze over and people can be seen playing ice hockey under the clear blue skies. The province is also a major producer of oil and natural gas, making it an important base for Canada's energy industry. Edmonton's winters are very dry, with temperatures sometimes reaching -20°C to -40°C.
