Self-introduction

My name is Kinanti Kanya Niramaya and I am from Indonesia. I am usually called "Kanya". I come from a country where it is hot all year round, so I am looking forward to winter in Niseko.

I first became interested in Japan after watching an anime on TV when I was in elementary school. Since then, my interest in Japan has grown, and I participated in a high school exchange program and visited Japan for the first time. This experience made me want to communicate more in Japanese, so I enrolled in the Japanese Studies department at the University of Indonesia and studied abroad at Fukui University. After returning to Japan, I realized that I was interested not only in Japan but also in East Asia, so I studied East Asian culture in graduate school.

Currently, I have been appointed as an international exchange officer in Niseko Town, making use of my interest in international relations! I want to convey the charm of Indonesia to everyone in Niseko, so I have brought a lot of Indonesian culture, such as traditional games and costumes. I would like to introduce it to you while interacting with you from now on. I look forward to working with you!

Where I'm From:

I am from Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. Jakarta is located on Java, the most populous island in the world. Jakarta alone is a huge city with a population of 11.34 million people.

Indonesia is an island country surrounded by the sea and has many beautiful beaches. Among them, Bali is particularly famous. In fact, there are islands with beautiful beaches near Jakarta called "Kupulawan Seribu", and you can enjoy wonderful sea views without going to Bali.

Jakartans often go to shopping malls on their days off, and there are many malls in the city. Jakarta is characterized by a wide range of options, from malls selling luxury brands to malls selling extremely cheap products. There are also many stylish and cute cafes, so my hobby is going to new cafes with friends!
