Liu Cain (New Zealand)

Kia ora! I'm Lew Kain (Lera) from Auckland, the "City of Sails" in New Zealand!
Having spent half my life in New Zealand and half in China, and being exposed to different environments, cultures, and languages, has shaped who I am today.
I've always been interested in social phenomena and languages, and going to university gave me more opportunities to interact with Japan. The more I learned about Japan, the more I was drawn to its charm, and during my university years, I spent five months as an exchange student at a university in Chiba Prefecture.
"To become a bridge between New Zealand and Japan as an international exchange coordinator" has always been one of my long-held dreams. After graduating from university, I gained experience in various fields, including human resource development and the travel industry, and I am deeply honored to be able to work in Niseko Town as an international exchange coordinator, a position I have long desired.
As someone who loves nature and hiking, Niseko Town, surrounded by abundant nature, has many things in common with my homeland, New Zealand. From the first time I visited, I felt a sense of nostalgia and familiarity.
Having traveled alone to over 25 countries, I learned the importance of respecting different cultures and customs, and understanding things from another person's perspective. Furthermore, through my previous work, I have cultivated the ability to clearly organize and communicate the appeal of a region, as well as the ability to maintain continuous collaboration with various stakeholders.
From now on, I would like to share the culture and attractions of New Zealand with the people of Niseko, while also learning a great deal about the culture and charms of Niseko myself, and working together with the local community to expand the circle of international exchange.
