Establishment of a consultation desk for various forest-related notifications and applications

In accordance with the Forestry Act (Act No. 249 of 1951), Niseko Town promotes proper and planned management of the forests and forest resources located within the town.
Owners of forests and land, as well as those involved in the management and construction of forests and land, are required to submit various notifications and applications when checking whether their land is a forest area, when engaging in activities within forest areas (such as felling trees), etc. Notifications and applications include the following:

[Major notifications and applications, etc.]
Forest Land Register Inspection Application
This is necessary when confirming whether the land you own is classified as a forest (Article 191-6 of the Forest Law).

Notification of felling and post-felling afforestation (felling notification)
When felling trees in forests, advance notification (90 to 30 days prior to the felling date) is required (Forestry Law, Articles 10-7 and 10-8).
Forest land owner notification
When acquiring new forest land, the owner must submit a notification within 90 days of the acquisition date (Article 10-7-2 of the Forest Law).
Certificate of transfer of standing trees (felling)
When transferring standing trees (including the transfer of felling rights), you may be required to prepare and submit documents certifying the details of the transfer.

These procedures are important for ensuring the sustainable conservation and utilization of forests, and failure to follow them may result in guidance and measures being taken under the law.
