Introduction of car sharing services

Niseko Town is collaborating with Times Mobility Co., Ltd., a car sharing service company operating nationwide.
A car sharing demonstration experiment has been conducted in the town since 2023.


 

“Car sharing” is a service in which registered members share a car. You can use it 24 hours a day, and you can rent a car for a short period of time, which is cheaper than a rental car. can.

　

The shift from individual "ownership" to joint "sharing" through initiatives for sharing services, including car sharing, is not only a way to reduce environmental impact, but also a way to make effective use of limited resources and create connections with communities. It is one of the things that are expected to lead to the realization of sustainable regional development as something that leads to formation.
On the other hand, the popularization and utilization of this technology is currently concentrated in urban areas, and the challenge is to spread it to rural areas.
Therefore, we will conduct a demonstration project to grasp and verify the effectiveness, issues, and problems of the car sharing service in Niseko Town, and to consider sustainable regional development through future sharing services.

　

About the car sharing service demonstration project conducted from July to October 2023
We will inform you of usage status and user feedback (survey results).

Kashaa will continue the demonstration until the end of March 2025 (including the winter period),
In the future, we are considering installing the equipment year-round and on a continuous basis.

July: 24 cases, August: 48 cases, September 48 cases, October 42 cases
*Use by town residents is increasing.
*Car sharing at Niseko Station tends to be used by people who appear to be tourists.

Usage: Anyone can use it, including townspeople and tourists. However, "Times Car" membership registration is required
