【Heisei 24 year project】 About deterioration · seismic resistance survey

In the Heisei Fiscal Year 2011, we held discussion committees and opinion exchange meetings with the residents of the townspeople in the town.
As a result, we compiled the basic design for reusing the warehouse group as a base for regional revitalization for local residents and tourists.
Based on this basic design, in FY 2012, we will conduct "Deterioration / Earthquake Resistance Survey" to investigate the structure and damage condition of buildings of each warehouse group in detail, and reuse warehouse group such as examination of concrete management policy We made preparations for realization.

Damage and seismic resistance survey was conducted

For the existing seven warehouses, in order to investigate whether reuse as a base for regional revitalization is possible due to the structure of the building, we conducted a survey on deterioration and earthquake resistance.

1. Visual observation survey

Confirm deterioration situation

We check the condition of deterioration such as cracks and distortion of building walls and floors, measure pillars and beams, etc. and created drawings.

2. Excavation survey · Rebar investigation

Drilling a part of the ground

I excavated a part of the ground and examined the shape of the foundation and the presence of rebar.

3. Concrete strength · Neutralization test

Strength test and neutralization test

We cut out a part of the concrete such as the foundation into a cylindrical shape, and conducted a strength test in which pressure is applied by a press machine and a neutralization test for examining chemical deterioration state.

4. Simple judgment on soil liquefaction

Investigation of liquefaction risk

I inspected the liquefaction risk of the ground by inserting a metal rod on the ground.

As a result of this survey, we found that warehouse deterioration and seismic resistance vary considerably.
