Securing the safety of students (school safety)
Niseko Town Board of Education is working to ensure the safety of children and children from various perspectives, such as preventing traffic accidents, taking measures against suspicious individuals, and responding to disasters.
Especially against disasters that are expected to cause serious damage such as nuclear accident, we are taking measures against disaster in the whole town. (In educational institutions such as schools, we conduct disaster prevention drills, preparing school crisis management manuals, etc.)

Nuclear emergency response measures
Every year, all schools and Yoji Centre take part in the town's nuclear disaster prevention drills, which simulate a nuclear power plant accident.
Crime prevention measures · Traffic safety
As measures against suspicious individuals, we are endeavoring "sushi", practicing crime prevention measures such as inspection of school roads and simulation training for crime prevention at home of child 110, and traffic safety measures.

In order to thoroughly prevent passive smoking among children and students, smoking is completely prohibited on the grounds of all town schools and Yoji Centre. Please refrain from smoking anywhere inside or outside the buildings. (Smoking is also prohibited at all outdoor events such as sports days.) (Full enforcement from December 2017)
