When to consult us

The Community-based Comprehensive Support Center provides comprehensive support for elderly residents in areas such as care, welfare, and health.
We accept consultations regarding daily life, health, and care for seniors and their families to help them continue living independently in their familiar communities.

Types of consultation (General consultation)

  • Living alone and worried about emergencies
  • Concerned about elderly neighbors living alone
  • Unsure where to seek advice for various worries

Protecting rights (Rights advocacy)

  • Victim of malicious door-to-door sales
  • Difficulties managing finances
  • Someone is being abused
  • Concerns about possibly abusing someone, etc.

Care and health (Care prevention & care management)

  • Want to mantain current health
  • Need care certification or have care-related concerns
  • Preparing for discharge from hospital care-related concerns
  • Want to use day services, helpers, or home-visit nursing
  • Health classes for seniors

Healthy Lifestyle Class

Lectures and consultations by nutritionist and dental hygienist, health consultation by public health nurses.
(Held twice a year in each district).

Care Prevention Class “Chokin Class”

  • For those concerned about physical fitness or health.
  • Exercise for whole body, face, and mouth to support active daily life.
  • Content adapted to individual health conditions.

To help seniors live safely, support staff make voice-call visits. If you are interested, please contact below.

Eligibility

Those who meet the criteria specified below are eligible.
  • Age 65+, living alone
  • Household of only seniors aged 65+
  • Those who are concerned about physical or memory issues
Those using day services or home help services are not eligible.

Details:

  • This service is free of charge. A  support staff make voice-call visits approximately once every two weeks for 15–30 minutes.
  • Consultation available with Community-based Comprehensive Support Center staff.
  • Required for application: personal seal (hanko)

Emergency medical information kit

Distributed for free to ensure medical response in emergencies. If you are interested, please contact below.

Eligibility

  • Age 60+, living alone
  • Households of only seniors aged 60+

Application method

Bring your personal seal and fill out the "Application Form" at the Community-based Comprehensive Support Centre (within Niseko Town Hall). We will explain and give you the emergency medical kit. The application can be made by the person or a representative (One kit is distributed to one household).
  • Required for application: personal seal (hanko)

Family care and community support

Niseko Caregivers’ Group (Operated by Niseko Welfare Association)

Social gathering for families caring for elderly people with dementia.
This is a place where you can deepen your understanding of dementia and discuss each other's concerns about caregiving. Niseko Town Care managers from home-care support offices, nurses from day service centres, and public health nurses from the support centre are participating.
