Switching to automatic meter reading devices (smart meters)
Distribution of water and sewerage meter reading slips will end
Our town will be switching to automatic water meter reading devices (smart meters). Until now, meter readers have visited your homes once every two months to read your meters, but from now on, meters will be read via the automatic meter reading device via the internet. This will allow us to detect water leaks at your homes and other locations early on.
Due to the introduction of automatic meter reading equipment, the distribution of meter reading slips, which meter readers have been posting to your homes, will end in March 2026.Going forward, the confirmation method will be different for customers who pay by direct debit and customers who pay by delivery notice.
Customers who use direct debit can check their details online. Information on how to register and use the service will be sent by mail in early March 2026.
For customers who use payment notices, the layout of the notice will be changed from April 2026, and in addition to the existing items, the notice will display the period of use, water usage for the previous month, and water usage for the same month last year.

Water Fee and Sewage Fee
You will be required to pay water fee and sewage fee every other month (odd months). Water fees are determined based on the volume of water consumed, as measured by the water meter. Sewerage charges are calculated under the assumption that the volume of wastewater corresponds to the volume of water used.

How to Set-up Automatic Payment from your Bank Account
Please bring your seal used for deposit bankbook and perform procedures at the counter of one of the following financial institution.
