Status of Special Account

The total budget for the National Health Insurance Special Account is 213 million yen, of which 209.18 million yen is allocated as the Shiribeshi Regional Association contribution (installment). In order to reduce the financial burden on insured persons, 44.98 million yen will be transferred from the general account as a system-based insurance premium reduction measure, and 14.47 million yen will be withdrawn from the National Health Insurance Fund to balance the accounting balance.

The insurance premium rates for fiscal year 2024 are a flat-rate amount (per person) of 52,953 yen, an income-based rate of 11.79%, and a maximum limit of 800,000 yen.
The total budget for the Special Account for Medical Care for the Elderly is 69.6 million yen, of which 68.11 million yen is allocated to the Hokkaido Regional Association of Medical Care for the Elderly. In order to reduce the burden on insured persons, in addition to 18.89 million yen as a system-based insurance premium reduction measure, 4.31 million yen will be transferred from the general account to cover the common expenses of the Regional Association of Medical Care for the Elderly and the town's individual administrative expenses, in order to balance the accounting income and expenditure.
