School education

Children of a foreign nationality are not required to attend school but may enter if desired. The town has two elementary schools, a junior high school and a highschool. Students must take an entrance examination. The school year starts in April and ends in March of the following year. Japanese. For parents seeking an education for their children in English, there is also an International School in Niseko Town.
