Publicizing the advance notification system based on the "Hokkaido Water Resources Conservation Ordinance"

Hokkaido was the first prefecture in Japan to enact the Hokkaido Water Resources Conservation Ordinance, so that future generations can continue to enjoy the blessings of its abundant water resources. When conducting a land transaction in a water resource conservation area designated under the ordinance, notification must be submitted to the Regional Bureau of Regional Development or Regional Development Bureau that has jurisdiction over the land at least three months prior to the conclusion of the contract.
