Holding a regional opinion exchange meeting (Shiribeshi area) to consider measures based on the Hokkaido accommodation tax

In Hokkaido, the Hokkaido Accommodation Tax Ordinance was passed at the 4th regular prefectural assembly in December 2024, and efforts are underway to introduce the tax as early as April 2026.
Therefore, in preparation for the consideration of policies utilizing the accommodation tax from FY2026 onwards, we will hold an exchange of opinions with local stakeholders on the theme of "Concepts for policies to be implemented using Hokkaido accommodation tax revenues" to discuss the challenges and realities of the region, as well as expectations for policies funded by the Hokkaido accommodation tax.
