This ordinance was established in 2004 based on Articles 13 and 50 of Niseko Town Basic Ordinance for Town Development Ordinance, with the aim of using donations as a source of funding to materialize donors' social investments and contribute to the creation of a unique hometown with the participation of a diverse range of people. While placing greater importance on connections with people who care about Niseko Town, it also aims to expand opportunities for securing funding to revitalize the region and solve various issues facing the town. Furthermore, by expanding the scope of projects that can utilize donations, not only will it be easier to reflect the wishes of donors, but donations will also be felt by townspeople as meaningful. Therefore, we propose amending the ordinance to introduce a hometown tax system that is unique to Niseko.
We will invite opinions on the proposal revision proposal as follows.
