Notice of cancellation of the 40th Niseko Marathon Festival

We have decided to cancel the "40th Niseko Marathon Festival" scheduled to be held on September 18, 2022 (Sun).
 
The executive committee has been discussing whether or not to hold the 40th convention, but despite taking measures against the new coronavirus infectious disease, it was not possible to completely avoid crowding and close contact with people. We decided to cancel the tournament, giving top priority to ensuring the safety of everyone involved in this tournament, including increasing the risk of infection and ensuring the safety of all the runners who participate in the tournament and the staff involved in the operation.
 
This tournament will be canceled this year as it has become established as an autumn sporting event representing Niseko Town with the support of many runners, sponsors, related organizations, and many volunteers. We apologize for the inconvenience, but thank you for your understanding.
 
We hope that the new coronavirus will end as soon as possible for the next fiscal year, and we will strive to be a tournament that is loved by more people than ever before. We ask for the support and cooperation of all concerned parties.
