About the closure of mountain trails and campsites due to bear sightings at Niseko Annupuri

Notice

In the early morning of July 31, there was sighting information of a bear at the Goshiki Onsen course on the Annepuri mountain trail. Also, on August 2nd, what seems to be bear droppings was found near the Niseko Grand Hirafu hillside rest house.
In consideration of danger, the following mountain trails and campgrounds are closed.

● Annupuri Mountain Trail (Goshiki Onsen Course, Annupuri Ski Resort Course, Niseko Grand Hirafu Course)
● Mikaerizaka
● Kagaminuma Mountain Trail (HANAZONO Golf Course, Route 58 Course)
● Niseko Camp

It is very dangerous, so please be careful not to get close to the above areas.
また、周辺のニセコ山系においても、入山の際にはくれぐれもご注意ください。
 

<(参考※熊出没対策)入山の際の注意事項>
・ Wear prominent clothes and do not act alone
・ Do not enter the mountains at night during dim hours
・鈴やラジオを携帯するなど、音を出して自分の存在を知らせるとともに、
 常に周囲に注意を払う。
・クマのフンや足跡、食べた跡を見つけたらすぐ引き返す
・「クマ出没」の看板があるところにはあえて入らない
・子グマを見つけても決して近づかず、その場を離れる
  (母グマが近くにいるかもしれないので、とても危険です)
・エゾシカなどの死体を見つけたら、クマが食べていた可能性があるので、
 速やかに離れる。
・ Be sure to bring back food and garbage
(Trash will bring bears, so be sure to take it home)
