Partial revision of the "Niseko Town Private Fund Utilization Apartment Building Promotion Ordinance"
Important Notice
As a result of public inspection and solicitation of opinions regarding the partial revision of the "Niseko Town Private Fund Utilization Condominium Construction Promotion Ordinance" as described below, we will inform you that there was no opinion.
The Town has been supporting the construction of privately financed housing complexes by exempting or reducing property taxes in accordance with this ordinance. This has promoted the construction of private housing complexes to a certain extent, and has achieved a certain degree of success in alleviating the housing shortage, which is a pressing issue for our town. However, although this ordinance will expire on March 31st 2020, the housing shortage and the accompanying shortage of human resources have not been resolved, and there are still many cases where people are unable to settle in Niseko Town due to the housing shortage and move out to neighboring towns and villages. In order to fulfill the desire to live and continue to live in Niseko, the development and securing of housing is an urgent issue, therefore, this ordinance will be extended for two years.
