Town survey project: Sampling collection of combustible waste (November 2nd)
Important Notice
Niseko Town is currently undertaking a project to investigate the feasibility of regional circularity for the use of heat from waste biomass to enhance its energy structure.
This study aims to obtain thermal energy particularly needed in heavy snowfall and cold regions from renewable energy sources, reduce the use of fossil fuels, and recycle and utilize the resulting waste within the region. To achieve this, the study will investigate, examine, and conduct a preliminary demonstration of applicable technologies for heat utilization from waste-derived biomass (renewable energy).
In the above simplified demonstration, a prototype of the processing system will be installed within the town, and waste generated within the town will be processed to verify the processing process and the resulting products.
As part of this demonstration experiment, we will be collecting samples of "burnable waste" from some garbage collection points within the town, as detailed below.
Collection is carried out by town officials or businesses contracted by the town.
While this may differ from our usual garbage collection procedures, please be assured that there is no need to worry.
*There are no changes to your work. Please continue to take your trash to the designated trash collection point as usual.
