[2026 Kumamoto Earthquake] We have started accepting proxy donations for the hometown tax program to Misato Town, Kumamoto Prefecture.

In response to the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake, the town began accepting donations through the Furusato Nozei (hometown tax) system on August 28th (Friday).

After a disaster strikes, officials in the affected municipalities need to handle a wide range of disaster response tasks, including assessing the extent of the damage, providing support to those affected, and restoring infrastructure.

Therefore, Niseko Town will take over administrative tasks such as accepting donations and issuing donation receipts on behalf of Misato Town, so that Misato Town's staff can concentrate as much as possible on recovery, reconstruction, and disaster relief.

All donations received from everyone, after deducting necessary expenses, will be used entirely for the recovery and reconstruction of Misato Town.
We ask for your warm support so that those affected by the disaster can return to their normal lives as soon as possible.

• Donation receipts and other documents will be issued in the name of Niseko Town Hokkaido, who will be acting as the agent for receiving the donation.
