The town has decided to introduce a new initiative for hometown tax donations: "Tax Donations While Traveling."
* "Travel Tax Payment" is a registered trademark of Giftee, Inc.

"Travel tax donation" is a system where, before or during a trip, you can make a donation to a local government in your destination country via a smartphone-only website, and in return, you can immediately receive an "electronic coupon" as a thank you gift. This coupon can then be used at participating establishments such as accommodations, restaurants, and tourist facilities in that region.

The town already accepts donations via "e-travel tax," which allows for on-site payment. However, we have decided to introduce this new system as an initiative to further boost tourist spending and attract new visitors.

Businesses eligible to register as participating merchants for this travel tax donation program are those that provide goods and services that meet the local product standards set by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications for the Furusato Tax Donation Program.
For example, this could include accommodations, restaurants, experiential activities, hot springs, and various services offered within the town.
Make a donation while traveling and use it directly in Niseko. This initiative connects wonderful experiences in Niseko, such as accommodation, meals, activities like skiing and rafting, hot springs, and experiential services, to "hometown tax donations."

This program is also open to businesses that do not currently offer return gifts for hometown tax donations.
