We will be holding a recycling collection event for used small electrical appliances in the summer of fiscal year 2026.
Important Notice
We collect used small household appliances
The town collects used small appliances to improve recycling and reduce waste.
Small household electric appliances (products that run on household electricity and batteries) contain useful metals such as iron, aluminum, precious metals, and rare metals, and these useful metals can be regenerated as resources.
Therefore, we aim to recycle resources by collecting "used small household appliances" that have previously been disposed of as non-combustible waste.
If you have small household appliances that you no longer need, please help us collect them.
We also collect used lithium-ion batteries, such as those found in mobile batteries, so please bring them in.
In addition, collected used small appliances will be disassembled and crushed by government-certified businesses, sorted into types of metal and plastic, and recycled as metal resources.
*We cannot collect small electrical appliances from people outside of town, offices, businesses, or shops.
■Collection date: Saturday, July 25th, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
■Collection location: Niseko Town Heavy Vehicle Depot (opposite Niseko Dental Clinic)
■Items that can be collected: Mobile phones, telephones, radios, digital cameras, VCRs, DVD players, audio equipment, magnetic disk drives, laptop computers, computer main units (excluding displays), game consoles, watches, electric shavers, hair dryers, etc. (products that run on household electricity or batteries)
■Items that cannot be collected: Televisions, washing machines, clothes dryers, air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers, CRT displays, LCD displays, wooden appliances such as kotatsu and speakers, fabric appliances such as electric blankets and electric carpets, large appliances, and kerosene heaters.
*For items that cannot be collected by the town, please contact the retailer or electronics store.
■ If your mobile phone or computer contains personal information, please delete it in advance.
■ Always remove the ink and toner cartridges from the printer.
■We cannot collect items that do not qualify as small electrical appliances, such as outer boxes and packaging materials. Please bring only the small electrical appliance itself, or take the outer boxes and packaging materials with you at the site.
■If you are elderly and unable to bring your items to the collection point, we will come to collect them on Friday, July 24th. Please contact the Town Hall Resident Affairs Division as soon as possible.
For details, please see the next leaflet.
