We are launching a demonstration project called the "Hokusai Mount Fuji Reiwa View Project," which utilizes AI Hokusai to support environmental conservation activities!
Important Notice
In the summer of 2024, the "Niseko Summer 3+6 Views Digital Stamp Rally" was held, which took visitors around the scenery of Niseko Town as depicted by "AI Hokusai." As part of an "AI Hokusai"-related project, Niseko Town, Kanagawa Prefecture, Samurai Architects Inc., Hakuhodo Inc., Urakami Sokyudo Inc., Cryptlier Inc., and Little Blue LLC have now signed an agreement to implement the "Hokusai Mount Fuji Reiwa View Project" and will begin a demonstration project.
1. Issues and Objectives
In recent years, environmental changes caused by global warming have led to frequent meteorological disasters, the disappearance of seaweed beds (island denudation) in the ocean, a decline in fishery resources due to the collapse of marine ecosystems, and deforestation and degradation in forests. For a sustainable future, the preservation of the natural environment has become an urgent issue. However, there are problems with labor and funding shortages at the site of natural environment conservation activities, putting the continuity of these activities in jeopardy.
To solve this problem, this project will examine the feasibility of new methods for raising donations to organizations engaged in environmental conservation activities, targeting people with an interest in the natural environment and wealthy inbound tourists with a strong interest in Hokusai.
For the demonstration, an agreement was signed between seven parties: Niseko Town, Kanagawa Prefecture, Samurai Architects Inc., Hakuhodo Inc., Urakami Sokyudo Inc., Cryptolier Inc., and Little Blue LLC. The aim is to create a solution model through industry-government collaboration to address the issues of labor and funding shortages faced by environmental conservation organizations.

About Arishima Takeo Memorial Museum
This museum is named after Arishima Takeo, a literary figure active during the Taisho period. As an absentee landlord, Arishima Takeo opened up his Arishima Farm (now Niseko Town) free of charge, on the condition that tenant farmers could share the land. The spirit of mutual aid that Arishima Takeo left behind remains the foundation of Niseko Town 's self-governance to this day. The museum, which commemorates this, is one of Niseko Town 's best viewing spots, offering views of both Mount Yotei, known as Ezo Fuji, and Mount Niseko Annupuri. It is a symbolic space that Niseko Town want to preserve for future generations, representing the nature, scenery, and spirit they want to preserve.

Ohoro GIN is produced by the Niseko Distillery using underground water from Niseko Annupuri (an Ainu word meaning a cliff-like mountain deep in the mountains that hangs over the riverbank), as well as ingredients such as Hokkaido-grown Yachiwa and Japanese mint. Because it uses Japanese ingredients, it is said to pair well with Japanese cuisine, and won the world's highest award in the Classic Gin category at the World Gin Awards 2024. "Ohoro" means "to continue" in the Ainu language, and is imbued with the maker's wishes.
