The Hokkaido Comprehensive Nuclear Disaster Prevention Training is currently being conducted, with Niseko Town also participating.
Niseko Town is located approximately 30 kilometers from the Tomari Nuclear Power Plant and has been designated as a UPZ (Preparation Zone for Emergency Protective Measures) in the event of a nuclear disaster. In the event of a nuclear disaster, town hall will issue instructions for outdoor evacuation or temporary relocation depending on the changing situation, so please follow these instructions if you receive them.
