[Wednesday, October 29th] Hokkaido Comprehensive Nuclear Disaster Prevention Training

Niseko Town will once again be holding a "Nuclear Disaster Prevention Comprehensive Drill" this year, sponsored by the 13 towns and villages surrounding the Tomari Nuclear Power Plant and Hokkaido. The purpose of the nuclear disaster prevention drill is to improve disaster prevention techniques so that related organizations can cooperate to smoothly implement nuclear disaster prevention measures, as well as to raise disaster prevention awareness and promote understanding of disaster prevention measures among local residents.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and will include public relations training in the event of a nuclear disaster and radiation dose measurement training.

On the day, information will be disseminated via Radio Niseko, interrupt broadcasts, the website, and various social media platforms. A public relations vehicle will also be patrolling the town and radiation levels will be measured.
Please be careful not to make a mistake as it is training.

Depending on the situation, training may be cancelled.
