Used small appliances will be collected on Sunday, October 26th.
Notice
The town collects used small appliances to improve recycling and reduce waste.
Small household electric appliances (products that run on household electricity and batteries) contain useful metals such as iron, aluminum, precious metals, and rare metals, and these useful metals can be regenerated as resources.
Therefore, we aim to recycle resources by collecting "used small household appliances" that have previously been disposed of as non-combustible waste.
If you have small household appliances that you no longer need, please help us collect them.
Starting now, we will also be collecting used lithium-ion batteries, such as mobile batteries, so please bring them with you.
In addition, collected used small appliances will be disassembled and crushed by government-certified businesses, sorted into types of metal and plastic, and recycled as metal resources.
*Small household appliances cannot be collected from people outside the town, or from businesses, offices, or stores.
Collection date: Sunday, October 26th, from 9:00 AM to noon
Collection location: Niseko Town Heavy Vehicle Garage (opposite Niseko Dental Clinic)
Items that can be collected: Mobile phones, telephones, radios, digital cameras, video decks, DVD players, audio equipment, magnetic disk drives, laptops, computer bodies (excluding displays), game consoles, electric razors, hair dryers, etc. (products that run on household electricity or batteries)
Items that cannot be collected: Televisions, washing machines, clothes dryers, air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers, CRT displays, LCD displays, small wooden appliances such as kotatsu and speakers, small cloth appliances such as electric blankets and electric carpets, kerosene stoves, etc.
*If you would like to dispose of items that cannot be collected by the town, please contact your retailer or electrical appliance store.
Please delete any personal information from your mobile phone, computer, etc. beforehand.
For a safe and smooth process, make sure to remove any ink or toner from your printer.
We will not collect items that do not belong to small appliances, such as outer boxes and packing materials, so please either bring only small appliances or take the outer boxes and packing materials home with you while you are there.
If you are unable to bring your items to the collection point due to circumstances such as old age, please contact the Town Hall Resident Affairs Division as soon as possible as collection will be made on Friday, October 24th.
