[Heatstroke Warning Alert] Issued in Niseko Town

A heatstroke warning alert was issued in Niseko Town at 5am this morning (25th).
According to the Sapporo Meteorological Observatory, temperatures are expected to be extremely high in the Ishikari, Sorachi and Shiribeshi regions today (25th), making it dangerously hot and making people susceptible to heatstroke.
Please take steps to prevent heatstroke.
Specifically, please take the following actions:
- When indoors, use the air conditioner appropriately to stay cool.
・When you go outside, try to limit your time outdoors and avoid hot periods. Also, use a parasol or hat.
- Whether indoors or outdoors, be sure to drink plenty of fluids and replenish your salt intake.
・Those who are more susceptible to heatstroke, such as the elderly, children, people with chronic illnesses, people with physical disabilities, and obese people, should take particular steps to prevent heatstroke. Also, people close to them should keep an eye on and speak to those who are more susceptible to heatstroke.
- Facility managers and event organizers, etc. should check the heat index and appeal to facility users and event participants, etc. to prevent heatstroke.
