Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters B・B has started activities in Niseko Town!

Topic of town

The Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters mascot B.B. interacts with the townspeople while experiencing Niseko Town and promoting the town's charms in "The HOME ~ B.B. Mirai Taishi Project ~". In order to fully convey the charms of Niseko Town, B.B. was appointed as the "Niseko Town Tourism Ambassador" on April 1st, and the first activity was held on June 11th and 12th.
This time, the group visited various places in Niseko Town over two days, focusing on experiencing activities in Niseko Town town and planting wine grape trees with the children of Kondo Elementary School.

In the wine grape planting activity, we planted Chardonnay seedlings, a variety used for white wine, in the Niseko Winery field together with 12 4th and 5th graders from Kondo Elementary School. The seedlings will bear fruit after three years, and after a minimum of one year of brewing process, they will become a bottle of wine. The grapes planted this time will be used as raw materials for winemaking, and the wine will be presented to the children when they reach the age of 20 and reach their coming of age ceremony.

For the activity, we tried out Hokkaido Lion Adventure's clear stream boating. We enjoyed cruising along the calm waters of the Shiribetsu River, a first-class river that runs through the foothills of Mt. Yotei, surrounded by fresh greenery.

Finally, we rented bicycles and electric tuk-tuks provided by the Niseko Resort Tourism Association and explored the town, touring the streets of Kira Kaido, the rural scenery of the Arishima district, Arishima Takeo Memorial Museum, and the Takahashi Farm Niseko Milk Factory.
The details of this initiative are also introduced on the B・B blog. Please take a look.
