In Hokkaido, we will be holding two seminars related to BCP for small and medium-sized enterprises.

*BCP (Business Continuity Plan) is a plan that determines in advance the activities to be carried out and the methods for business continuity in order to minimize damage to business assets and enable the continuation of core business operations and early recovery even in the event of a natural disaster or other emergency.

Natural Disaster BCP Seminar (held on February 5, 2015)

METI will hold a BCP seminar to help business operators understand once again the importance of formulating business continuity plans as a means of preparing for natural disasters, which are becoming more frequent and severe.
In this seminar, we will explain the key points for formulating a plan and the business continuity enhancement plan certification system.

Cyber Security Seminar (held on February 17, 2015)

A cybersecurity seminar will be held to prevent and reduce cybercrime damage in Hokkaido companies.
In order to raise awareness of issues such as information leaks caused by cyber attacks at Hokkaido companies, the seminar will also feature a ransomware infection demonstration conducted by the Hokkaido Cyber Security Headquarters and the Hokkaido Prefectural Police Information and Communications Department of the National Police Agency.
