Important Notice
Niseko Town will provide cash of 30,000 yen per household to low-income households based on the increased burden of living due to soaring prices of electricity, gas, food, etc.
Eligible households
Households exempt from resident tax in 2023
A household that has a resident registration in Niseko Town as of June 1 2023, and all members of the household on Juminhyo (Resident Certificate) as of that date are exempt from the resident tax flat rate for 2023, or a household receiving welfare assistance.

Household with unexpected financial changes
2023 Among households other than those exempted from the residential tax for the first degree, those who are registered at Niseko Town at the time of application and whose household finances have unexpectedly and suddenly changed between January and September of 2023 and who are subject to the residential tax for the first degree 2023, the estimated annual income or estimated income (estimated annual income minus estimated expenses for one year) of each of all those who are exempt from the equal resident tax (equivalent) level. Households that are considered to be below the equal resident tax exemption (equivalent level)

Procedure/application method
1. If you are a household that is exempt from resident tax for 2023 and received a "Confirmation Letter" around the end of July, please check the contents (payment requirements, bank transfer details, etc.) and return it by September 30th.
2. If you are a household that is exempt from resident tax, such as someone who moved to Niseko Town after January 2 2023, please submit an application to Health & Welfare Division by September 30th.

time of payment
After the town receives and examines the application form, the payment will be made within 3 to 4 weeks.
