In line with this revision of the law, Niseko Town has created a new license plate for a specific small motorized bicycle (so-called electric kickboard, etc.).
This license plate has a very cute size (10 cm square both vertically and horizontally) compared to conventional license plates, according to the size of the vehicle.
Now you can issue from number "1".
In addition, in order to ride a specified small motorized bicycle on public roads, it is necessary to receive a license plate and purchase compulsory automobile liability insurance. In order to receive a license plate, it is necessary to meet the safety standards (lights, blinkers, speedometer, etc.). In other words, please be aware that not all electric kickboards can be numbered and run on public roads.
In the town, when issuing a license plate, it confirms that it conforms to safety standards. Therefore, when issuing a license plate, please bring the actual vehicle to the town hall (please do not come in), or have a document (sales certificate, etc.) that can confirm that it conforms to the safety standards.
