The lyrics and composition of the school song are representative of JapanMusic producer Yoshiyuki TsutayaDue to the close ties between Tsutaya and people connected to Honmachi, we asked him to create a school song, and he readily agreed, saying, "I want to give back to Hokkaido," which is how this collaboration came to fruition.
In producing the song, Tsutaya personally interviewed Niseko High School students about their feelings about the new school and visited the school and Niseko Town, resulting in a song that is filled with his sympathy and hopes for the education at Niseko International High School.
The school song (melody) will be performed at Established ceremony on April 9th.
lyrics
Tsutaya's song comment(excerpt)
The school song was created with the goal of "cultivating global human resources with civic pride" in words that today's students can sing naturally, rather than using forceful or outdated language.
Rather than relying on tourist symbols, we portray the essence of Niseko as the scenery and atmosphere found in everyday life, emphasizing a "universality" that remains as a source of inspiration even after graduation.
Throughout the song, we paid attention to the sound of vowels and the simplicity of the words, so that the words would not become muddled when the students sang in unison.
We aim to create a school song that combines the solemnity of ceremonies with the open atmosphere of a modern school.
