About the brown bear warning special period in spring

In Hokkaido, we have many opportunities to go out to the mountains and fields to gather edible wild plants.

令和6年（2024年）4月1日～令和6年（2024年）5月31日まで

を令和6年春のヒグマ注意特別期間としています。

・ Be sure to bring back food and garbage
・Do not go into the mountains alone
・Walk while making sounds in the mountains

The best way to avoid becoming a victim is to avoid encountering brown bears.
