About the plan to promote the removal of utility poles

This time, we have formulated the "Niseko Town No Utility Pole Promotion Plan".

Electric poles and electric wires installed on roads pose a danger not only to obstructing rescue operations and the transportation of goods, but also to pedestrians and the scenery when the electric poles collapse in the event of a disaster. Under these circumstances, in 2016, the "Act on Promotion of Removal of Utility Poles" was enacted, and it is said that removal of utility poles will be promoted systematically and promptly.
Niseko Town, we will secure safe community roads for townspeople and eliminate utility poles to protect landscape resources.
