The town has been administering the COVID-19 vaccine (first and second doses) since May 2021, in accordance with the priorities set by the national government. The town has also been administering the third dose since January 2022.
The following content is currently scheduled and may be reviewed in the future.

About the COVID-19 vaccine booster shot (3rd dose)

About the booster shot delivery strategy

In Niseko Town, the third dose of the COVID-19 vaccination is scheduled to begin in January 2022.
Those who can inoculate are those who have been inoculated up to the second inoculation and are 12 years old or older who have passed a certain period (at least 6 months) from the second inoculation.
The vaccination voucher and schedule will be sent out to eligible individuals after they have been grouped according to the date of their 2nd dose. 
 
1 Eligible individuals and prospective vaccination dates 
◎ Medical staff: Niseko clinic, dental clinic, medical staff at dispensing pharmacies, firefighters
◎ Facility inoculation: Residents / employees of Niseko Heights, group home Kirari (inoculation place is each facility)
◎ Group A: Those aged 65 and over who received the second dose in June and July of 2021
(The town will send you a guide specifying the inoculation date, so please check the inoculation availability, date, and time.)
◎ Group B: Those under the age of 65 who received the second dose in June and July of 2021, as well as 
Those who received the second dose in August and September of 2021
(Reserve the vaccination date by yourself using the reservation system from the scheduled inoculation date)
◎ Group C: Those who received the second dose after October 2021

◎ 12 to 17 years old: Start at any time from those who have passed 7 months since the second inoculation.

About vaccination voucher

<People over 65 years old>
On January 28, 2022, a vaccination voucher was sent to those who fall under Group A.
In addition, from January 13th, a notification of the vaccination date and postcards for replying to the vaccination request form was sent out.
We will send it in stages based on the order of the second inoculation, so please wait until you receive it.

<People aged 18-64>
On March 11 2022, vaccination voucher were sent out to those in group B.

If you plan to receive the vaccine outside Niseko Town and would like to receive an vaccination voucher in advance, please contact the Infectious Disease Control Section (Health and Welfare Division, Niseko Town Hall).

* Since the vaccination date is determined according to the amount of vaccines delivered to Niseko Town, it is not possible to select the type of vaccine according to the vaccination time and date.
* The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has extended the validity period of the "Handling of the expiration date of the COVID-19 vaccine" through regulatory procedures based on the data collected by the companies that manufacture and sell the vaccine. Even in Niseko Town, even if the printed expiration date has passed, we will treat it as a vaccine with an extended validity period in order to effectively utilize the vaccine.

About receiving the vaccine outside from your registered municipality

1. A person assigned to a job location far from their family 
2. Students boarding in a remote area
3. Homecoming due to childbirth, etc.
4. Other unavoidable circumstances where the individual is residing outside of the address on their juminhyo (certificate of residence) 

<Those whose address on their juminhyo (certificate of residence) is within Niseko Town and wish to receive the vaccine in a municipality outside Niseko Town>
・ No notification is required to Niseko Town
・ Please check with the local government of the place that you'd like to get your vaccine from about whether they will be able to accommodate your request. 

<Those whose address on their juminhyo (certificate of residence) is not Niseko Town, but would like to receive their vaccine in Niseko Town.>
・ If you belong to either one of the categories 1 to 4 stated above, please contact the Niseko Town Hall Infectious Disease Control Section (Health and Welfare Division).
・ You need a vaccination voucher issued by the local government of the address registered on your juminhyo (certificate of residence)
· Reservations cannot be made in the same way as Niseko Town residents. (Niseko Town Hall will make the reservation on your behalf.)

Establishment of Hokkaido Vaccination Center

Taking into account the current infection situation and the implementation of the Semi-state of emergency COVID-19 measures, many municipalities started accelerating full-scale additional vaccination for the elderly and etc. from February.  To support this vaccination drive, the prefectural government has established the Hokkaido Vaccination Center.

12 to 15 years old

If you are celebrating your 12th birthday, we will send you information in stages.

5-11 years old

The COVID-19 vaccine vaccination for 5 to 11 years old is scheduled to be revised by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare by the end of February based on the contents reported by the Health Science Council. (Inoculation will be possible after the revision.)
In Niseko Town, we are preparing for the inoculation system based on that schedule.
