Niseko's zero fight
Niseko Town is now an international snow resort, but during World War II, ice-fighting experiments were conducted on fighter jets at the top of Niseko Nunnupuri in the extreme environment. This is a study to prevent aircraft from crashing due to icing on wings and propellers in cold places. It is said that the Zero Battle was carried out manually at a research facility at the top of Niseko Annupuri, and experiments were being repeated. After the war, the Zero Battle was apparently dumped from the research facility towards the foot of the mountain, but the Zero Battle was discovered and recovered in 2004. Even today, evidence of this remains on the peak of Niseko Annupuri. (With English subtitles)
