Pregnancy

In Japan, a maternal and child health handbook is issued to pregnant women upon presentation of a pregnancy notification in which the progress of the pregnancy is recorded. Fourteen regular health checkups are partially subsidized and coupons to subsidize six ultrasound examinations are issued. In addition, public health nurses visit those experiencing their first pregnancy to offer advice on pregnancy and delivery. Please feel free to ask them anything you would like to know.
