The Japan Railway Transport Organization has held local briefings on the soil generated in tunnels in the Niseko Town area as follows.

- September 10, from 18:00 to Niseko Town residents Center
· Sep 11th 18: 00 ~ Satomi Community Center
· October 16th 18: 00 ~ Kondo District Community Center

【Main explanation contents】
(1) Progress of each construction
Progress status of undertaken construction and acceptance situation of embarkation receiving place
(2) Response policy of emergent soil receiving place
General explanation on naturally occurring heavy metals etc.
(At the present time, in Niseko Town jurisdiction, no generated soil containing naturally-occurring heavy metals has been confirmed.)
(3) Future schedule
Tunnel drilling method (shield construction method) for Yotei Tunnel (Arishima Industrial Zone)
About the candidate place for accepting soil generated in the Toyosato area (the town in the site of the final disposal site)
