Information on geothermal utilization council and briefing session

Following the start of the geothermal resource development survey in the Niseko Mountains, Niseko Town and Rankoshi-cho have set up a council consisting of hot spring operators, environmental, energy and tourism-related organizations, and experts, and have been studying geothermal since last fiscal year. We are working on meetings and case studies.
 
While the geothermal resource development survey is underway by the business operator (Nippon heavy chemical industry Co., Ltd., Mitsui Oil Exploration Co., Ltd.), we are already aware of everyone, but unfortunately, in the summer of last year, It occurred.
 
As a result of this fiscal year, we decided to hold a council on the next schedule, including explanation of the case from business operators, considering that concern and concern of residents are high as well.
 
On that day, I would like to introduce the efforts of the council, and I hope everyone will have the opportunity to think about geothermal resources in the region through explanation of trees cutting and damaging cases, etc.
