"Love Vegetables Niseko Vege" launches on December 1st, proposing a new way to enjoy vegetables grown Niseko Town

A distinctive feature of Niseko Town vegetables is that they come in a wide variety, and even the same variety can have different flavors depending on the season, allowing you to enjoy a wide range of flavors. For example, since January this year, the Niseko View Plaza Direct Sales has sold 17 varieties of potatoes, 25 varieties of tomatoes, and 36 varieties of pumpkins. Luxury tomatoes are also sold from July to the end of October, and the balance of sourness and sweetness changes depending on the season. "Love Vegetables Niseko Vege" was launched to help people enjoy the unique characteristics of Niseko Town vegetables.
Many customers at the Niseko View Plaza Direct Sales Event have enjoyed vegetables by "enjoying choosing, enjoying the differences, and finding their favorites." This act is very similar to "selecting several favorite sweets at a confectionery shop, looking forward to eating them, and then enjoying the differences at home," so "Love Vegetables Niseko Vege" developed products that use the same type of vegetables in cute sweet-like packaging, allowing customers to enjoy the different flavors.

The first product is "Kitakamui," whose flavor changes dramatically depending on the season, and will be available for a limited time from December 1st.
The first product is the "Kitakamui" potato. This product contains two types of "Kitakamui" potatoes: new "Kitakamui" potatoes (harvest 2025) and mature potatoes (harvest 2024) that have been aged in a pre-refrigerated storehouse for a year. "Kitakamui" is said to be one of the potato varieties whose flavor changes significantly with aging. We chose "Kitakamui" so that you can experience and enjoy this significant change in flavor. The size is the largest at 3L, and one potato can be enjoyed in a variety of ways, such as using half as French fries and the other half in miso soup.
This product, with its cute packaging and the opportunity to enjoy the same variety of potatoes with different flavors, is perfect as a treat or souvenir.

Building a system of external and internal eyes to discover the appeal of local products
While considering ways to allow customers to enjoy Niseko Town grown vegetables more, we wondered if an outsider's perspective might be able to discover the charms of the region. From this perspective, we began consulting with Niseko Town Inc. (hereinafter referred to as POC), a Tokyo-based company that produces products and packaging from a regional and brand perspective, and this was the trigger for this project.
After sharing various information with POC, including the behavior of customers at the Niseko View Plaza direct sales event, the concept and output shown on the previous page were developed from the perspective that "it seems like they are enjoying it like sweets. Let's enhance that experience with our products and packaging."
For the production, including the design of the packaging, POC searched for a company in the prefecture that could understand the tastes of Hokkaido customers when selecting products and could keep logistics costs down, and decided to ask Hokkai Shikosha Co., Ltd.

This is a cooperative of over 60 farmers*1 in Niseko Town, and since its opening, it has been conducting direct sales activities based on the three principles of "safety," "security," and "affordable."
